Reynaldo Lara


Reynaldo Lara is a vocalist, writer, and teaching artist. A founding member of Electric Machete Studios, he coordinates artist residencies and community workshops for youth and adults. Currently he is coordinating a series of screen-printing workshops with visiting teen youth artists from the Neighborhood House, and teaching painting to elementary youth of Academia Cesar Chavez. Reynaldo also serves as assistant administrator and curator. As a vocalist he has performed and worked with Lady Xok and Maria Isa, as well as writing his own music. He has performed at several Twin Cities venues and shared a reading of his poetry at Blue Harbor center on the West Side. He continues to use his experience to bring art and music to the community and uplift Latinx artists.
